Hold onto the Joy of Music Education
About
My music education journey started at about four years old. This was the day I became an older sister, which sparked a passion I have carried with me since.
My musicianship started as singing with my family, and grew as I took lessons on violin as well as piano. Flash forward several younger cousins and years later, my community of musicians continued to grow.
I began teaching piano lessons at age 16. In my senior year of high school, I auditioned and was accepted into the music program at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. While studying Music Education, I continued to teach piano lessons and direct the music special at several YMCA locations.
After graduating summa cum laude, I jumped into education, currently working in Central Bucks School District as a general music teacher. I am currently continuing my education at Kutztown University, pursuing my Masters Degree in Music Education.
As a music educator, I strive to give students a well-rounded music education that will spark their passion. The joy of music education is watching every child access their innate musicianship, and watching them grow in confidence.
